Help Sam get back on track

I recently had my stuff stolen off the bus on my way back to the Netherlands after having been in Berlin the past years. It's been pretty devastating as not only was quite a lot of the stuff in there quite valuable but there was also a lot of other stuff I hold dear, like letters, prints, gifts and so on. Flixbus have been very unhelpful in offering me compensation and at best it looks like I'll only get a fraction of the total sum back and have no other insurance or means of getting some of the stuff back. Right now, other than getting some essential items like winter wear, clothes, shoes, art supplies and so on, I'd really like to work towards getting my camera back and some other devices (my sound recorder was also in the bag). I'm working hard to save up but also need a fair amount of that just to get by and have also had some help from my parents. I could still use some to help me get back on track sooner rather than later, not least because I could use stuff to keep me busy with during this difficult transitional period. If any of you might have some spare change to help me save towards a new camera, coat, clothes and so on, that'd be much appreciated. I appreciate most of you are as skint as me but even a few spare bits of change could go a long way. I promise to write, sing or draw you something in return!

In the meantime, be very careful when travelling by bus (I was on a Flixbus) as there's often nothing stopping thieves from taking stuff from the hold when unattended (or even when attended as Flixbus rarely check the luggage tags to see if bystanders aren't taking other people's bags). I also had my bag stolen from a house party last year (someone had most likely seen that there was a party happening, rang the bell, got let in and taken the first thing they saw). I don't mean to make you paranoid but also feel it's worth sharing my story as it's really devastating to lose so much all at once! It's possible I was just very unlucky but these kinds of things happen. Thanks again, it would make a huge difference for me to feel like I'm taking steps towards recovering some of these items and starting to sculpt a new identity for myself.
