Molti di voi conoscono sicuramente Massimiliano Giuli, della famosa Barberia Italiana ad Amsterdam (http://www.barberiaitaliana.nl/).
Max è originario di Trieste
e, dopo aver lasciato la sua città per “tentare la fortuna” all’estero come tanti altri giovani, ha ottenuto, grazie a sacrifici ed impegno, grande successo ad Amsterdam con la sua Barberia Italiana, facendo onore alla Patria e portando un tocco di italianità e di lavoro artigianale tradizionale, che di sicuro mancava.
Purtroppo, lo scorso agosto, mentre Max si trovava a Madeira per una vacanza, è stato colpito da un forte ictus cerebrale. Subito dopo l’accaduto è stato ricoverato d’urgenza presso un ospedale locale, in coma profondo e in condizioni critiche. Da allora sono passati tanti mesi e ci sono stati dei piccoli miglioramenti, ma anche delle complicazioni temporanee, quali una polmonite e continua febbre alta. La sua situazione era e rimane ancora molto critica. Fortunatamente la madre di Max, la signora Damiana, si è recata fin dai primi giorni al suo capezzale a Madeira e lo segue ogni giorno con attenzione, facendo in modo che riceva tutte le dovute cure. Purtroppo, i costi per poter stare accanto a Max sono tutti a carico di sua madre (quindi il viaggio aereo e la sua permanenza li) e la sua situazione economica non le consente di poter stare a lungo termine. In aggiunta, purtroppo, il papà di Massimiliano è venuto a mancare ai primi di novembre e quindi la signora Damiana adesso si ritrova veramente da sola ad affrontare questo difficile momento. Per questo motivo, alcuni amici di Massimiliano hanno deciso di attivare una campagna di ricerca fondi, al fine di poter coprire interamente, o almeno in parte, le spese che sua madre Damiana sta sostenendo. Velen van u zullen ongetwijfeld Massimiliano Giuli kennen, eigenaar van de beroemde Barberia Italiana in Amsterdam (http://www.barberiaitaliana.nl/). Afgelopen augustus, terwijl Max op vakantie was in Madeira, werd hij helaas getroffen door een ernstige hersenbloeding. Direct na het incident werd hij met spoed opgenomen in een lokaal ziekenhuis, waar hij in een diepe coma en in kritieke toestand geraakte. Sindsdien zijn vele dagen verstreken (inclusief zijn verjaardag) en zijn er een aantal verbeteringen geweest, maar ook tijdelijke complicaties, zoals longontsteking en aanhoudend hoge koorts. Zijn toestand was en blijft zeer kritiek. Gelukkig kon zijn moeder, mevrouw Damiana, meteen na het gebeuren, bij hem in het ziekenhuis in Madeira gaan, waar ze hem nu dagelijks verzorgt. Helaas zijn de kosten om dicht bij Max te blijven geheel voor rekening van zijn moeder (dus de vliegreis en haar verblijf daar), en haar economische toestand laat haar niet toe om nog lang daar te blijven. Massimiliano's vader is begin november overleden en is mevrouw Damiana nu echt helemaal alleen tijdens deze moeilijke tijden. Om deze reden hebben enkele vrienden van Massimiliano besloten om een fundraising campagne te starten om alle, of ten minste een deel, van deze kosten te dekken en zorgen dat Damiana naast Max kan blijven. Many of you will know Massimiliano Giuli, owner of the famous Barberia Italiana in Amsterdam (http://www.barberiaitaliana.nl/).
Last August, while Max was in Madeira for a vacation, was unfortunately hit by a severe brain stroke. Immediately after the incident, he was hospitalized urgently at a local hospital, in a deep coma and under critical conditions. Since then many months have passed and there have been little improvements, but also temporary complications such as pneumonia and continuous high fever.
His situation was and remains very critical. Fortunately, Max's mother, Mrs. Damiana, is there next to him from her early days, and follows hem daily carefully, making sure he receives all the necessary care.
Unfortunately, the costs of staying close to Max are all for his mother (flight and her stay there) and her economic situation does not allow her to stay long.
