Help Aidan get to Dwarf Olympics

Donation protected
This handsome fella wants more than anything to go to the Dwarf Athletic Association of America's World Games (i.e. olympics) in Guelph, Ontarioa, Canada from August 5-12 of this year.  Our community has been amazing at making accommodations for him and helping him experience success. They have opened their arms and welcomed him to their teams, set up special plays so that he can score points, given him special positions in which he can be successful, the list goes on. However, the World Dwarf Games will give Aidan the opportunity to play against other people of small stature - people like him that long for the challenge of true competition in which the playing fields and the plays are all designed for people with the same needs as Aidan's.

Aidan hopes to participate in basketball, soccer, floor hockey, ping pong and track.
He has a phenomenal trainer that is working with him on a volunteer basis in order to make sure he's properly conditioned and knows the rules and mechanics of the sports. His trainer is Owen Ferguson, a junior at Birmingham Southern College. Owen has been training different kids for the last 3 years, and he has expressed how highly he thinks of Aidan. “Aidan is one of the happiest kids I have ever met. I have never worked with someone more coachable, competitive, or more willing to learn than Aidan. Aidan has such a positive outlook on life, and he is truly an inspiration to me, and everyone around him. He is so ambitious, and he wants this opportunity to compete so badly. I couldn’t think of anyone who deserves this opportunity more, and it has been an honor working with him”. We plan to take his trainer with us to the world games.

The primary trip expenses include registration for Aidan, his trainer and me; uniforms for Aidan and his trainer; gear for floor hockey and soccer; travel to/from Canada, rental car, hotel and food for all 3 of us.

We would appreciate any support you can give in helping make this dream come true for Aidan!
