Help Mona Hunter's caregivers

Donation protected
Very few people have the privilege of not only living for 99 years, but leaving their mark on just about everyone they meet along the way. Mona Hunter was an incredible force of stregth, courage and inspiration to all of those she has left behind. She passed away, surrounded by friends and family on August, 27, 2016 at the age of 99 and 1/2.  As the body fails, it takes a village to help meet the needs neccesary for an  elderly person to maintain quality of life. Without the aid of Mona's wonderful and competant caregivers, we could not have honored Mona's wish of living and dying in her own home. In addition to dedicated family members, there were six dedicated women who made it their mission to treat Mona as one of their own; they arrived at thier scheduled time and worked hard to make sure Mona was well cared for and loved. They shared the responsibilities of shopping, cleaning, coooking  and helping her in countless ways. They were all affected by the flood ; flooded out of their homes and vehicles, and several of them have lost everything but the clothes on their backs. Despite these terrible hardships and extreme situations, they still found ways to arrive at their designated times to take care of Mona when she desperately needed them. Not only have all of Mona's employees been affected by the flood,  they lost a close friend, as well as their lifeline - (employment). Most of them had no flood insurance, and are really struggling. This fund will be managed by Diane Hunter (Mona's daughter- in-law) and Layne Gambel (Mona's Grandaughter). We will distribute all the donations between Mona's caregivers in a fair manner, and will report back here as to exactly how is was distributed. Should you have any questions, please don't hestitate to call [phone redacted]. We will ensure that every penny goes directly into the hands of those who helped Mona until her dealth. God bless these women! The last week of Mona's life would have been a nightmare had these women not found creative ways to get to her and help. We owe them more than a "Thank You"! Your aid will help them rebuild their lives by providing  some funds to rebuild homes,  repair or replace flooded cars, obtain the essential neccessities for life and aid the transition time while finding new employent. Every donation, no matter the size, is appreciated. Please share this request with any social media you have access to..it is most appreciated.  I know the fact we are asking for this aid, is bringing great pleasure and satisfaction to Mona as she looks down on us from heaven.  She was so worried about what whould happen to her caregivers...they were like family to her. Bless you, and any of those reading this who were affected by the Louisiana floods . Should anyone have a better idea or suggestion to embellish this request, please don't hestiate to contact Layne at [email redacted] or call at [phone redacted].
Much love to all ,
