Aiba's vet bills

Donation protected

Three weeks ago my cat Aiba was hit by a car. The injury was so severe that it was amazing that he made it from the road where he was hit.

To save his life his back right leg had to be amputated. The first treatment was a success and paid for. Sadly, it wasn't straight forward and he got an infection and the wound has not moved.

He's having to have lab work to establish what infection he has before they can give him the correct medicines and have another operation.

The first operation was £1,046, this has been paid for but so far with the additional costs that price has already gone up by £400 and then there will be an additional operation and sadly I can no longer afford to pay for the additional operation that will be needed.

I have tried to cover the bills and I regret not having the insurance to cover it.

The funds will be used to cover the costs of the medications and the additional operation which will be taking place some time next week.

Words can't express how grateful I would be to anybody that helped me. I've been 'jokingly' told several times that it would have been cheaper and easier to get a new cat which may be true but it wouldn't have been my cat.

I suffer with social anxiety disorder and depression and for the last 6 years Aiba has been with me throughout it all and I can't abandon him.
