A home for Christmas

On dec 2nd about 4pm I contacted a gentleman on craigslist regarding a home located at 5338 E. 10th st. I sent him my phone number to stay in contact because as of Dec 5th my lease was up and had to move out. He text me at within minutes of me sending him my phone via gmail. He introduced himself as Jason Jones Jr. He sent me pictures of the home. I feel in love with the home immediately. Went over the pictures with my 8 children and husband. They all was so excited about having so many rooms and garages. So i told him that we loved the home and would love to come see it. He said that was dine but had a few questions. I said that is fine ask away. So we went over standard rental questions. Example, Why was had to move. How many kids I had. What my income was. If I had any pets. Etc.He obviously was ok with my answer because we scheduled for a showing the next day. Around 715pm that night he sent me this text. "hi I am just reaching out I have some one who want to sign lease tonight. I liked you so I want to see if you wanted it." Desperate not to be homeless with my children I send following text "But I'm at work please I'm begging you." At the time I wasn't even thinking of scams I was thinking its getting cold. Its christmas time and no one else had contacted me back. I had 3 days to move. So at 810 the following morning I went to the home located at 5338 E 10th st. Jason Jones was there with key and lease and receipt. He unlocked the door and we went in he showed us around the home explaining a few things need to be fixed. And that he had maintenance men on their way. I told him we loved the home and would take it. We signed the paperwork and he gave us the key. We started moving in the home immediately while placing stuff in rooms we found a sign with the realtors name on it. Now the guy told me he had it up for sale but decided to rent it. People do that all the time when homes dont sell quick. I called realtor to let them know home was rented to pick up their sign and the woman lost it and said we couldnt be there and that he didnt have the right to rent nor be there. About 45 to an hour later she showed up and we called cops together. Police report was filed and nothing just was told to go home there was nothing they could further do. So being a mother and thinking got to be out in 3 days no money i just gave it to this guy who didnt even own the home now me and my kids was going to be homeless in the cold and no xmas. I decided he didn't know i knew he scammed us so i took matters in my own hands to try to resolve this and help get him arrested hoping that would have some impact on me getting my money back. So i texted him back and said thank you so much for taking a chance on my family and giving us this opportunity to rent your beaitiful home. He replyed and we just started texting he said "I will take care of you just take care of me" At that moment I knew I could get him to meet back up. So I called the detective on my case told him my plans and he said sweetie most likly he wont show up we hardly ever catch these guys. Well with hopeful wishes I proceeded with my plan I texted him all day. I said "That payday loan i told you about for the hundred i was short i got approved for 1000 can we just meet up I will pay you the 100 plus next months rent so we can get that out of the way because im going to be so busy this month." He got really excited and said yes do you want to meet up at 4 i said i dont get off work till 4 because thats what i told him this morning but i took day off to do this. So we planned for 5 pm at mcdonalds on washington across from krogers.. I showed up an hour earlier down the streets at steak n shake on washington and holt. Called the non emergency cops and told them the whole story gave my police report and they went down there because we verified he was there by his vehicle. Cops went down there and came back and said he must of left because he wasnt there anymore. So within secs after they left he text saying he had to get gas but was on his way back so i went down there with no backup in place as soon as i walked in i seen him pull up i called cops again and said i need help and the gave them the address and hung up while me husband and a friend blocked his car in and they called cops as well they showed up and arressted him he admitted under miranda rights and said hebwill give me my money back we had to wait in the cold for almost 2 and half hours for financial detective to talk to us. Monday morning got a call saying they was trying to get my money out of the bank. Its now friday and no money no home and no one will help.
