A Home for Jolee Foundation was inspired by a sweet couple who recently adopted their first child. This couple allowed us to be there each step of the way during their adoption process and it was then that we began to understand the financial burden that is associated with adopting. A family who has a heart for adoption should not have to go through the financial process alone. We aren’t all called to adopt, but we are all called to help (James 1:27). We may not be able to overturn Roe vs. Wade, but we can do our part to ensure that we are doing everything we can for children who are in need. Our MISSION is simple, to provide financial grants to those couples who desire to adopt a child, knowing that the child will be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
In essence, we are helping plant the seeds of faith, one child at a time. It is also our prayer that the birth parent(s) will come to know truth and obey the Gospel through the contact of these Christian parents.
How will your donation be used? The first major money hurdle for a couple is the $5,000.00 amount(on average) which is due shortly after the approval process. This is where we start our journey with the couple. After the couple has been approved by the AHFJ board of directors, meaning that they have met the qualifications set by the board of directors, a grant is issued for the amount of $5000.00. We don't stop there with the support. We will continue to work with the couple as they seek other other avenues for fund raising. We have talented women serving on our board who have led successful fundraising campaigns in the past who will help guide these couples. We expect our couples to work as hard as we do to help make their dream of adopting a reality.
