Help for Eddies Family

Detective Eddie Sledge, a devoted father, husband, friend and Deputy suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on 4/27/19. Eddie leaves a wife, step child and 4 month old infant behind. Eddie was not your normal Detective, he was truly the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back, no matter if he knew you or not. He was devoted to the men and women that he worked with and never forgot why he started in public safety in the first place, which was to serve. As great as Eddie was at work he was even a better person at home with his wife and stepchild. Four months ago the pride and joy of Eddie’s life entered this world. Eddies family was his everything, and he would let you know as he would constantly talk about his family. On 4/27/19 Eddie started to experience a medical issue that resulted in his passing away. The unexpected death has left the family stunned and in a financial bind. With immediate and longer term expenses associated this Eddies passing the IBPO Local 673 is asking for donations to help the family. All funds will be going directly to Eddie’s family to assist in this devastating time.
