WWII Veteran Paul Needs Help

Update:

Good Morning!

As many of you are aware Paul Cassarino's car was found in Hartford on Sunday evening. Paul's car had to be towed back to him and has been taken to an auto repair shop. The funds raised by this campaign will assist him with the fees to repair his vehicle.

Thanks to all of you this will not be a financial burden for Paul.

You all rock!!

Best,

Pam Fortin

Greetings:

Paul Cassarino is a  neighbor of mine  who lives right around the block from me. His car was recently stolen with some very sentimental personal possessions in it. Daily, Paul used his vehicle to vist his wife's grave and read bible passages aloud to her. It is my intent to raise funds  for Paul so that he will have enough money to use as a downpayment for a replacement vehicle.

Once our goal is reached I will meet with Paul to let him how he can access these funds.

Please read his open letter to the person who stole his car and thank you in advance for any and all help you can provide.

Best,

Pam Fortin

Veteran 94-year-old veteran and widower in Windsor, CT needs your help!

This is an open letter to the person who stole my 2001 Mercury Sable station wagon from my garage at 49 Farmstead Lane in Windsor, Connecticut.

I am a WWII veteran having served with the 447th Bomb Group of the 8th Army Air Corps. I was stationed in England and I flew over 30 combat missions. I am now a 94 year old widower who in the past year lost my wife and my daughter.

My car is my survival for transportation to empty trash at the landfill, to go to the grocery store, go to my church, and to go to the cemetery every day to visit, talk and read the Bible to my late wife. In my car were my bibles that my wife and I read together and that I would take to the cemetery to read to her; my tools that I have had for over 50 years; my personal belongings and other memorabilia that is priceless to me. My English version daily reader of the Vulgate BIble New Testament was especially dear to her and me. I read it to her every day when we were together and took it every day to the cemetery to read to her.

I appeal to you to return my car together with its contents of my walker, tools, glasses, sun glasses, umbrella and 3 bibles. Please.

Sincerely,

 Paul
