FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team# 7153, Aetos Dios - Eagles of Zeus, from East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT is having a remarkable Rookie season!
We first competed in the NE FIRST District's Southern CT Event March 16-18. We were chosen in the second round to the #2 alliance and went on to win the event alongside the two other FRC teams. In addition, we also won the Rookie Highest Seed Award and the Rookie All-Star Award.
Aetos Dios also competed at NE FIRST District's Hartford CT Event April 6 - 8. We were chosen by the #1 alliance and alongside our two alliance partners, won this event too! We were also given the Rookie Inspiration Award.
Our back-to-back wins qualified us to compete with our robot at the New England Championship Event at Boston University April 12-14. In addition, winning the Rookie All-Star Award at the Southern CT Event qualified us to compete with other Rookie teams from all of New England for the Rookie All-Star award at the NE Championship Event. We were one of two teams that won the Rookie All-Star award!!
Aetos Dios finished the 2018 regular season ranked 30th in all of New England out of 209 FRC teams and qualified to move on to the FIRST World Championship in Detroit, MI April 25-28.
Although our brand new (Rookie) Team has incredible drive and determination, we have limited financial resources. Our team relies 100% on donations and is self-funding.
