Adventure Photography Iceland

Donation protected
So I just graduated from Temple University in North Philadelphia with a degree in Construction Management, student loans suck and I’m applying to jobs now.  I’m in a purgatory state of mind where I am stuck between graduation and entering the “real world”.  I set this GoFundMe up to try and make a dream come true, not before it’s ‘too late’, but before it’s a lot more difficult to make come true.

My goal is to go on a Photography Adventure in Iceland, starting in the capital Reykjavik.  I will spend about two weeks travelling alone throughout Iceland and taking pictures to document this trip.  I’ve always had a passion for photography (although I’m not that good at it) but as Ansel Adams has said, “You don't take a photograph, you make it.” And that’s what I plan on doing.

If you feel like helping me out and donating to this trip I will promise every donor a set of postcards comprised from the photos that I take.  If you don’t have the money or don’t feel like donating you can still journey with me through my photography blog that I will be creating for this trip.  The money will go to my Airfare, a camera, and living/traveling expenses.

My favorite author Paulo Coelho said, “If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine; it is lethal.” This trip isn’t just about taking cool pictures and traveling.  I want to explore the world that God has created and, in turn, explore myself.  I believe that going on a journey like this will give us a new perspective of how we view the earth and how we typically tend to miss out on the beauty that is right in front of us every day.

So why do I choose Iceland out of all the places in the world?

·         Well for starters it has incredible landscape and will definitely qualify for some crazy photographs.

·         Iceland is a lot different from North Philadelphia… and I’d imagine a lot quieter.

·         It’s a very affordable country and my dollar can go much further than in other places.

·         With a population of 323,000 there’s a lot less distractions than other countries and I can focus on what I’m there for.

·         It is a very unique country that is full of life and nature.

·         And… why not?

As I mentioned I’m in the position of making some crucial life decisions and I know that this trip will help make these decisions much more clear.

So if you feel like helping me out your support will not go unnoticed and you get some sweet postcards out of it too.

You can learn a lot from having a dream come true, but making it come true is where we learn the most.

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” - Ernest Hemingway
