At Macmillan, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything. So we’re here to support you and help you take back some control in your life. From help with money worries and advice about work, to someone who’ll listen if you just want to talk, we’re here.
And AGSD-UK,
The AGSD-UK provides support and help for individuals and families affected by Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD).
AGSD is also called Pompes disease.
It does this by putting people in contact, providing information, issuing Newsletters and holding Conferences and Workshops.
I am a sufferer of Acid Maltase Deficiency, by a strange coincidence I was born in Malta.
Recently on the 29th of September the rehab centre, that I am currently in, held a coffee morning in the afternoon, for residents and relatives, with tea and cakes as well.
I also offered to have my head shaved and I had two offers of £20.00 and one of £40.00.
A total of £195.75 was raised.
All funds raised will be divided equally between the two charities.
I have been bedridden for the past 18 months and have only just started going into my wheelchair.
I hope to video the event which, due to lack of availability of the hairdresser, will not happen until the 25th November, I might even go facebook live.
I would hope all donations happen before Christmas.
