Adonis' Top Surgery

Hello, all! Before I begin, I want to say thank you for taking the time out to read this campaign. It has been a struggle even getting as far as this.

My name is Adonis . I am a 26 year old transman residing in my home town of Memphis, TN. As a person who has lived with gender dysphoria since childhood , it has been a very difficult journey growing up. Whether it was from school bullying, or dealing with bodily developments during puberty, living my life as what I see myself as has never been easy.


For years, I had never thought that the day would come where I would actually be able to take steps to become more me ,but after persevering and finding support groups and resources, I have succeeded in knocking down a few hurdles that appeared in front of me during my transition. I have begun hormonal therapy after years of seeing someone about starting them. I have gotten the name I felt comfortable with and I have never felt as happy as I am now.  This leaves the one major hurdle that will never vanish overnight: my chest. No matter what I have done before, the years of binding to flatten my chest enough to be identified publicly as male has taken a negative toll on me. Since resorting to looser binding as instructed by my doctor to alleviate the pains, the chest bumps has gotten in the way of me feeling like me ever since they developed. It has been the only thing that has made it hard for people to see me as male.

Fast forward to today and it is the closest I have ever been to meeting that final goal! After having to wait for months until I met the surgery requirements, I have recently gotten approval to get Top Surgery from my physician and corresponded with a reputable doctor in Texas that was happy to take my case!(Definitely a ways away from my home town of Memphis!) As much support as I have gotten from family members they are unable to support me financially, so I am on my own in this just like every other step I have taken on this journey.

Through freelance artwork, I have already compiled enough for the $500 deposit needed to secure a date and recently I began work at a new job at a local pet supply store. $6000 did not seem like too large an amount for what it could have cost me with closer doctors and I figured I could take out a loan for it and work to pay it off. Unfortunately, to do so is not only ill advised, but I am unable due to credit score, current school and living expenses. I initially never thought I would need this but this may be the only shot I have to get it done and healed enough before my on-campus school year starts. I have 2 months to build this up roughly and that sounds like a tall order in my mind... however I have zero chances at risks I do not take!

This one is a pretty big hurdle!I have a month to get this squared away and I would need all the support I can get to even remotely achieve this.
