MEET FRANKIE: From Alphabet Board to Silver Screen - Non-verbal, disabled creative screenwriter: Living his Dream!!!!

Francis "Frankie" Kineavy was born with Cerebral Palsy. He is non-verbal, and communicates only through an alphabet board. Despite his "disability," Frankie, through a collaboration with TRUflic Media  and screenwriter Steve McWilliams, co-wrote and developed an original screenplay over the course of 7 years, one letter at a time. The product, "The Way We Roll," is the realization of Frankie's  dream to develop his creative talents even in the face of his mere physical disability.

"The Way We Roll": The Plot
Frankie, the non-verbal son with cerebral palsy of a mobster accused of stealing $10M from the mob, arrives home and finds his father dead. Two mob associates (Eddie and Brazone), after killing Frankie's father, are ransacking his home for the money, and discover Frankie. Brazone wants to "wack" Frankie!!! An argument and struggle ensues between the mob associates and Eddie (the wacky mob thief) shoots his partner to save Frankie. Thinking Frankie's estranged mom in Florida may have the money...Eddie embarks on a road trip with Frankie to Florida...

"The Way We Roll" is a clever, heartwarming and hilarious story that is part road movie ("The Straight Story"), part coming-of-age ("About a Boy"), and part crime-caper ("Fargo").
Frankie's story will not only tug on your heart strings, it will also leave you feeling inspired and amazed.

How Your Tax Deductible Donation Helps

Your donation will not just help Frankie's dream come to life, but it will also help to amplify the voices of artists and creators with disabilities, bringing them to the forefront and helping them achieve their dreams and thrive in better visibility in entertainment and other creative worlds.

Adept Nation, Inc.,  a non-profit organization, has established a Social Impact Investment model as an underlying adjunct mission to raise awareness of the many extremely talented yet “disabled” artists who are not represented and under-served in the mainstream, and to offer career opportunities to these artists living with disabilities. These creative and intelligent artists, when given the opportunity, produce commercially viable and compelling theatrical and entertainment content.

Disabled artists, writers, actors, and producers are unrepresented and under-served in the Entertainment and Film Industries. The film industry and Hollywood use stories of disabled people as awards bait but rarely provide opportunities or cast them in their own stories. The Ruderman Foundation has also recently addressed the situation, calling out Hollywood for the act and claiming that,  “in the history of the Academy Awards...among the 61 Oscar nominees and 27 winners playing characters with a disability, only two were authentically portrayed by an actor with a disability."

We hope you can embrace Adept Nation's vision and contribute to this cause. We believe that our mission will make a real difference in helping physically disabled artists to achieve their goals, and aid in normalizing the inclusion of disabled artists in the entertainment industry.

Thank you for your time, courtesies and hopefully, contributions.
