Addie (Service Dog)

Donation protected
Addie, my fiance's service dog has been part of our family for the past year.  She is a rescue dog that has been trained to detect seizures and social anxiety due to PTSD (military).  Addie goes everywhere with her human...even on the ambulance to the hospital emergency room.  She is currently at a VA Hospital while here human is receiving treatment for PTSD.  Over the past year, her human noticed that she is having vision problems, unable to find things, running into things, etc.  We have recently taken her to the vet, who in turn referred Addie to an eye specialist.  Following her appointment with the eye specialist this past week, we have found out that she will require eye surgery for cateracts in both eyes.  Unfortunately, she was born with this condition, however the specialist foresees a very positive outcome.  The specialist says that immediately following the surgery, her vision will drastically improve...along with the quality of life.  This is not just the quality of life with Addie, but her human also.  Addie's human, Rich, depends on her for everything.  Addie keeps him grounded, thinking clearly, prevents PTSD flashbacks, keeps him safe during seizures, wakes him up when he has a nightmare, etc.

This amount will cover the cost of Addie's surgery and recovery.  Please find it in your hearts to help a disabled veteran who currently has a disabled service dog.  My fiance served this country and will forever have these problems, but with Addie he will be able to survive day to day that the rest of us take for granted.

If you are able to help, I really appreciate this more than words can say, you will be blessed in my prayers.
