Stolen Disabled Equipment Replace

Donation protected
Specialized gear stolen from Adaptive Adventures, a Colorado 501c3 based nonprofit, who serve youth, adults, and veterans with physical disabilities.

Adaptive Adventures celebrating 18 years, with nearly 100,000 people served, brings equipment and theraputic recreation based programming annually to 24 states, providing over 5000 lessons to hospitals, Veterans Administration centers, and other rehab facilities. Each dollar brings a mountain to places that mountains don't exist, through recreation therapy . We shift the mindset post-injury, illness or disease from "I will never..." to "I CAN!" We introduce the "What's Possible" way of life and create ongoing progressive training in each of our 11 sports throughout the year.

With this theft, we've lost nearly $14,000 in specialized adaptive bikes, tools, and gear that allow our participants to find their freedom of mobility.

We clearly need new, secure storage for our hundreds of kayaks, bikes, waterski, ski, climbing, and other specialized adaptive equipment that make our program so unique.

Our immediate needs and how cash would be spent:
• New Secure Storage Facility and training/work/office space for all trailers and gear (this is our second theft and most substantial) 20k
• 4 New Terra Trike Bikes (2700.00 ea)
• Hase Adaptive Pedals and AFO (Ankle Foot Orthotic) Units (6)
• Adaptive Hand Controls and Gloves (1500.00) • Complete Park Tools Bike  Mechanics Set (1500.00)

Please help, as every penny counts in serving our great participants and in-patients around the country.

Here's some of our indoor cycling in action just a week ago... which can not happen like this without replacing equipment, for some very important adaptations to make spinning and wellness possible.

Please help us in any way possible by donating whatever you can and sharing our mission! Our operations run as slim as possible to provide maximal programs and equipment for our communities. We need to do this better, without vehicle breakdowns and better conditions to keep our gear inside.

Anything over the funding goal will go directly toward providing greater program depth for our amazing participants and their families throughout the country.
