Adam Lee Medical Support Fund

Three weeks ago, Adam Lee had only one thing on his mind -- marrying the love of his life, Margaret Smith, on June 1st, 2019.

Now, Adam Lee is facing a new future -- fighting for a normal life after being brutally attacked in San Francisco. Our family chose to keep Adam’s situation quiet until we knew more information about what happened that night and what Adam’s challenges, obstacles, and hardships will be for recovery.

On April 30th, 2019, Adam was the victim of a brutal and violent assault that left him on life support and in a coma. After the assault, the man fled the scene, left him to die, and hasn’t been found since.

His fiance, Margaret, received the call while at a celebration of her engagement. What has followed since that night has been a living nightmare for her and the Lee family.

Adam received traumatic injuries to three parts of his brain and was left in a coma. While he will survive, it is now his quality of life we must worry about. He is slowly regaining consciousness and making strides like telling Margaret, “I love you,” but he is nowhere near out of the woods yet.

If you are looking for a way to help, we could use the assistance to supplement ongoing medical expenses Adam may need for the rest of his life, and that his insurance will not cover. There are still lots of unknowns from his medical team, but we do know the costs will be exorbitant. As of right now, we know Adam will need:
- To be moved from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility as he comes out of his coma
- Once he is able, we need to place him in a 24/7 physical therapy rehabilitation center
- Daily physical, speech, and occupational therapy

Our ultimate goal is to get our Adam back - the happy, loving, active, and funny son, uncle, fiance, brother, cousin, and friend we all know and cherish. We are eternally grateful for any and all support you can give, and please share our story on your social channels.

Update: Thank you all so much for the outpouring of your love and gifts. The family is eternally grateful. We wanted to provide an update. Adam is awake from his coma and re-learning how to do all of the daily tasks we often take for granted. We are remaining hopeful through his recovery and rehabilitation process.
