Michael Francois and Family

Donation protected

My name is Tracey Boucher and I am writing in regards to MICHAEL FRANCOIS that is currently in the U of A Hospital in Edmonton AB accompanied by his parents and sibilings. During this critical time, the Francois family have been with Michael for the past 2 weeks in the ICU department. Therefore, I am seeking any possible donations that can be offered to the families that have travelled from Yellowknife to Edmonton as well as accomodations and food. Also, employment wages lost during this difficult time. If you can provide any type of donations, it would be greatly appreciated by the Francois family as they all want to close to him right now.

I would like to take a few moments to provide you with information about Michaels condition and how serious it has been for him.

Michael went to the ER Saturday evening October 24, 2015 and was turned away from the triage nurse. On Monday morning October 26, 2015,  Michael went to see Dr. Wong and was sent home with a puffer without no other observation. Realizing the puffer wasn't helping, he later went to the ER Thursday afternoon of October 29, 2015 and was admitted and prepped to be medivac to the UofA the following morning on October 30th.

Michael arrived at the UofA and was on life support. He contracted double pneumonia, they called it streptococcus pneumonia. A common condition but if left untreated, it can be deadly. All his organs had failed with a 10% heart capacity last week October 31, 2015. They used the ECMO machines (heart and lung bypass) and was on dialysis for his kidneys.  His infection spread throughout his bloodstream causing his organs to fail. He was on the respirator machine and they're slowing taking him off sedation. But the doctors took him off those earlier this week. He's responding to us by nodding so far.

With that being said, currently Michael is in recovery but will not be home anytime soon. His parents and sibilings have been told to stay as the situation may change at any point in time. Therefore, I am asking for any donations for them during this difficult time.

Thank you (Mahsi Cho) for taking the time to read this in regards to MICHAEL FRANCOIS and his family. We are praying for Michael during his recovery.

I will update once I hear anymore information in regards to Michael's condition.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time.

Please keep Michael in your prayers and for his recovery.
