On September 27th 2013 my life changed. I was in a car accident that nearly claimed my life. I was in the hospital for 3 months the first time, then on and off for another two. I suffered severe trauma to left leg and arm. I went under 18 surgeries to save my leg. I had to have a total 20 blood transfusions. What we thought was the last surgery more infection was found. I had to make a decision to start all over or to amputate. The end of February 2014, I became a Left Above Knee Amputee. I have a disadvantage of sustaining the quality of life I once had. I have daily life struggles and medical bills out of the park. I can barely keep my head above water. I am uneligable for disability and have future expenses of prosthetics. I hope to inspire other disabled or amputee individuals not to give up. I will pay it forward. Thank you and God Bless!
