As most of you know by now, my daughter was diagnosed in 2023 at the age of 25 with Stage 4 Metastatic Terminal Breast Cancer.
Three months later, we lost my only son, her only brother and best friend, to suicide.
She was originally on our health insurance, but recently, as of July 1, 2026, our insurance has decided they will no longer cover her. So, we are now in the process of attempting to get her on some type of Medicaid or COBRA coverage, but as of now, there is a period where she has no insurance to cover her medications or treatments. She is also trying to get into Intensive Outpatient Treatment to help her deal with all the things she has been through since being diagnosed with terminal cancer at such a young age, losing her brother, and just the stress of it all. On top of everything else, she also recently had to quit her job that she loved so much, as her cancer has progressed to the point she could no longer continue working.
her husband works tirelessly to make ends meet for them but we all know a “one person income” is hard enough to survive on, let alone when someone is sick.
She continues trying to earn some extra money by painting when she can and when she feels well enough, but it’s not helping much.
She is struggling to just get by at this point, even with us helping as much as we can, as her parents and only family who choose to help.
At this point, together, we are attempting to pay for everything out of pocket, like medications, treatments, and to get her into her IOP, which leaves very little for living necessities such as rent, food, bills, etc., until she is able to get on some sort of health insurance.
We know that most people do not like to participate in GoFundMe, but after doing much research about different types of fundraisers, this is the best one and the most well-known.
Any amount will help her and be so much appreciated. Thank you so much!
