Dear Friends of Camp Bays Mountain,
My name is Clayton Farmer, and I am a third-year seminary student at Candler School of Theology from the Holston Conference. From March 6-13 a friend and I will be riding our bicycles from Waynesboro, VA to Asheville, NC along the Blue Ridge Parkway. During this 469-mile trip, I will be raising money for the construction of Camp Bays Mountain in Kingsport, TN.
As a former camper at Buffalo Mountain Camp and as someone who later served in camping ministry as a counselor I know the importance of camping ministries for our youth and young adults. I am sure that many of you or your children have also had great experiences with camping ministries. Soon, construction of Camp Bays Mountain will begin and ensure that youth and young adults from the Tri-cities and beyond will have camp experiences that are faith forming and fun.
