Help Me Finish My Accounting Degree

My name is Kara and I'm trying to raise funds to assist paying for my accounting degree whilst studying in Boston. My situation is unique in that not am I an international student from Canada, I am also a non-traditional student as well. I always dreamt of living in Boston and at almost 40 years old I decided that it was time for a major life change...I sold the majority of my belongings, acquired a student visa and moved to Boston from Vancouver, BC.
There have been many unforseeable hurdles in this move, I've done my best to face them with grace, resilience and have continued to persevere despite them all. I was raised in a home surrounded by addiction and alcoholism, when I left Canada I made the difficult choice to put my biological family behind me. I have a wealth of kind and supportive friends looking out for me, but there is only so much they can do for me at the end of the day. My son is back in Canada, he now lives with his father til I'm done my degree. I miss him terribly but I feel that I've one the right thing for both of us in the long run.
The limitions of my student visa mean I can't work off campus, and my funding from Canada falls woefully short every semester. After paying my tuition this past semester I was left with $600. I don't qualify for any addition funding, which leaves me in a difficult position. I am an honours student and president of the honour society, community and giving back is very important to me. I have applied for a merit scholarship, but as an international student my options are sparse. At this point I'm too far in to go back, and Boston is my home now. I do not have family to turn to, and there are currently no options to change my visa status until I'm further along in my education. Once I've completed my associate's degree I can change my visa to do paid work training in my field for one year, but I'm still eight months away from this opportunity. Come fall I'll be applying to Northeastern, Bentley, Babson, Bridgewater State and Harvard.
The funds raised via this campaign will be used to cover my living expenses and send money back to Canada to look after my son. My hope is to raise four months worth of living expenses to give myself some breathing room and stablize my situation. I am currently looking at moving for the fifth time in less than two years, I just want to settle into a home than I can live in for the next couple years.
I can't even begin to express how grateful I would be for an assistance, there's no words really. There's no way I could have forseen the amount of issues that would arise with the move and am grateful for anyone who's helped me on this rather bumpy journey!
