ACC's dream
ACC (Assembly Child Care & Learning Center) is a child care that services children 6 weeks to 11 years of age. We were established in 1972 and we currently are licensed for 200 children. We do have a partnership with Step Up to Quality and at a level 2. We are the largest in our county. We believe in family first and working with our families to raise our children. With all that being said, I know we can do more. The biggiest request we have, "are you capable of helping my child who has special needs?" The answer to that is, No. We are a non-profit organization and honestly it is next to impossible to get any kind of funding. We need to start somewhere, we need to offer a service that our parents need. I admit we have a long way to go: we need training, we need educated teachers who know what to do. But if we can start here and get the help we need to establish this 7th Heaven - Sensory Room, then we are more than half way there. We currently have children enrolled who could benefit from a room like this. It needs to be part of their daily schedule so they can reach their full potential. Small steps, right?
