Lisa is a woman who has committed her life to the service of others. She went to Kenya over 25 years ago to help a minority ethnic group develop a written language and literacy materials. Unfortunately, while there, she became very sick with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).  She came back to the US and has been disabled and unable to work since that time, living rent-free with family & friends all these years, as she has struggled to regain her health.

Although she has relentlessly tried both conventional and alternative therapies to do so, her health continues to decline. In addition to CFS, Lisa was diagnosed with Electro-magnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) which has worsened dramatically in the past two years. Basically, this means that she cannot tolerate being around cell phone/wifi radiation or even electricity without special shielding. (Although conventional medicine does not yet recognize electro-magnetic frequency sensitivity as a valid diagnosis, her primary care physician absolutely acknowledges this reality as he has multiple patients suffering from it, as did he himself for a short period of time.)

As you can imagine, this condition makes it difficult for Lisa to get out. She is basically home-bound, with only her little dog for company. On top of that, her health is so poor that she cannot even tolerate living in her current location, needing to keep all circuits off unless they are being used. Because her housemates need their circuits on for normal living, it is no longer possible for Lisa to stay in their home. In the past few months, Lisa has been reduced to sleeping in her car. This situation is untenable. Because of her sensitivities, Lisa needs a specially constructed home (e.g, with shielded wiring), that is also far from wifi and cellphone tower radiation.

Currently a group of Lisa’s friends cover most of her monthly expenses (since she is on disability), but we cannot cover the costs of building or buying a decent house for her and related moving expenses. We need your help to make this happen for Lisa: to procure a safe, healthy home for her to reside in and to cover the costs of building or buying it and moving her there.

Lisa is in dire straits. She is discouraged emotionally and struggling physically. She desperately needs respite and relief as soon as possible. Our goal is to help her move by mid-November at the latest.

Lisa has identified a home in a low-EMF location in Arizona.  This very likely may be just what she needs. The home,  moving costs and related expenses will realistically be $200,000. So, we are asking you to contribute to the cause of raising the funds for this or a similar home. We know this is a large amount of money, but if just 200 people gave $1000 each, we'd meet this goal. That said, gifts of any size would be most welcome.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and your generosity. Our hope and prayer is that this gift will provide just what Lisa needs to heal physically, while encouraging her spirit as she pursues her healing journey.

Hi, friends! An update on Lisa. First and foremost, Lisa is thankful for her little trailer, stationed on a neighbor’s property, not far from her apartment. She lives in there 18 out of 24 hours and goes into her apartment for a few hours in the morning and evening to eat, check emails, research housing options, shower, etc… It’s a workable temporary set up.

Winter was challenging. She had to stop using the wood stove in February because even small amounts of smoke made her to sick. Now that the weather is warming up, she’s much more comfortable!

Secondly, Lisa is thankful for your support. The amount that’s been raised during this campaign and all of the positive words of encouragement have meant the world to her!

That said, the challenges ahead are still steep. It’s difficult to identify a good long-term living situation that meets her needs. A pre-existing home is likely not wired for individuals with any kind of electro-magnetic sensitivity and having a home built to meet her needs may likely cost over $400k. Please pray for the continued success of this campaign and if you have any creative solutions, please post them below. We are in this together. Team Lisa will prevail! :)

Hi, Team Lisa! A quick update. Lisa is living in her trailer and doing just okay. It is uncomfortable most of the time, as she uses a small wood-burning stove to heat her place and the smoke that it emits is too much for her body to tolerate. So her choices are either to keep the stove going, which provides warmth but also side effects for her body, including insomnia and sinus trouble, or not use the stove, which gives her some relief but is uncomfortably cold.
That said, Lisa does her best to plow forward, sewing when she can, and continually searching for a permanent home.
Keep her in prayer and as her birthday approaches, it would be a gift if we could keep the campaign fire alive by contributing more toward the goal and/or sharing this GoFundMe effort with one or two friends!
Thanks SO much. This means the world to Lisa! She is truly thankful for where we are and where we're headed!

This season is a time for giving comfort and cheer. It would be nice to hit $20K by Christmas. We're only $765 away from that goal. If you can help by giving or sharing it would be much appreciated.
