Hello Everyone,
My friend recently has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a blood cancer manifesting as a large tumour in her chest. She is a singer and already it is having an impact on her ability to perform. She is passionate and a wonderful singer with soul in each one of her performances. She is a full time singer and makes all of her income from being a singer, and has already suffered a huge loss of earnings from hospital appointments during the diagnoses process. She got diagnosed 4 weeks ago after having to go through 2 biopsies to get concrete results. The results showed a very large tumor attached to her upper right chest which applies a constant pressure against the lung.
She is beginning now to be short for breath, is now having to cancel certain gigs and it is becoming a struggle for her to continue with her passion. She is also halfway through writing her debut album which has taken a lot of time and effort, and is something she is very keen to be healthy enough to complete and release. She has been told that she will have to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy, which alone is already a huge struggle for her as it means she will be losing her hair which as a performer has been hitting home rather hard.
She is beautiful in spirit, really positive and taking everything on in a positive way and it has been wonderful to watch her really grow as a person through this difficult time and become more positive and more passionate than ever.
The reason for this fundraiser is to help support her until the end of her chemo therapy. She has researched and found lots of complimentary therapies which have been proven to help soften the impact of chemotherapy and also work alongside the chemotherapy which should speed recovery and minimise the amount that needs to be elicited.
I have spent time with her going through all the different most beneficial therapies that will compliment her treatment and also have been looking at how much she will need to be able to support herself whilst she is unable to work over the the next 6 months. She has been given a proposed complementary treatment plan from a renown doctor in holistic therapies at Wimbledon Clinic of Natural Medicine, if we can raise the money to fund this treatment it would be hugely beneficial for her to get back on her feet and once again pursuing her passion as soon as possible.
Abi is a truly beautiful person inside and out, she is warm, loving, caring and passionate not just about her work but about life and is always willing and wanting to help others. Now I want to help her and do anything possible to help her through this difficult time. So if you are able to support her just a little then it will be so much appreciated.
