 GRAND FORKS, ND
Let's show our Grand Forks Nice!

Saturday night Naomi Danielson's car was tipped on its' side following the UND Fighting Sioux (Hawks) victory in the NCAA Frozen Four tournament in Tampa.

I'll let the police worry about finding the offenders, but let's come together to get her car running again.

I'll adjust the final value to match the repair tomorrow - she will never see the bill. - And anything raised above and beyond will go straight to her to cover assoicated costs (rental car, stress, time, whatever).

Funding is moving along nicely! - Thanks to all of those that have contributed, and sent comments along with it.

I still haven't heard a final bill for repair, but the body shop chosen is working with Naomi to determine the best course of action. - I will be leaving the goal of $5000 in place until I visit with Naomi in person to determine the best course of action.

Thanks again to all that have contributed, and please continue to share and spread the word about this!

The car owner did not start the campaign to raise money--a stranger chose the amount. I wouldn't be surprised if she needed more.

I work at toyota and not really cause the motor will have to be gone threw to check if oil and any other fluids are not where there suppose to be and that the hybrid system is good plus there is a good amount of damage to the body let alone the mirror and rim doors and quarter panels and that just what i can see in pic that not even looking at the car and than to paint the body pieces that is not cheap too

I am all for helping...but isnt $5000 a bit ridiculous? This almost seems greedy.

Jennifer - per Bob Collins' report on his NewsCut blog on mpr.org, insurance won't cover most of it - apparently, just physically unflipping the car to get it back to upright cost $300... ...and, to be fair, it's also unlikely that the "fans" who "flipped" will ever pay up, or be made to pay up... ...and it's not just body shop issues, if the engine and transmission system got damaged from fluid leakage and the like, I would likely say that her Prius was totalled (as the cost to repair likely exceeds the value of the car).

If $5K is raised she is a head of the game. Car is worth less than $4K. Still worth donating to though.
