Aaron Wolf Family Memorial Fund

Our beloved Aaron Wolf passed away suddenly on Easter Sunday. It is a devastating loss to his family and a terrible loss to Chronicles, The Charlemagne Institute, and the conservative cause.

In his mid-forties, Aaron is survived by his incredible wife Lorrie, their six children, and his mother and father.

He was a man of abounding goodness as father, husband, and Christian. Readers of Chronicles know that he was also a tenacious defender of Western Civilization and the lives of the unborn and most vulnerable. He made Chronicles possible through his industry as an editor, seeing the magazine through to production every month. His generosity toward colleagues, writers, and even strangers was unstinting, and he bettered the lives of everyone who knew him. Aaron set a benchmark for us all.

More must and will be said, but right now Aaron's family needs your help.

Lorrie is a stay-at-home mom who homeschools the children while also providing constant care to their second-oldest son, Carl, who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. She also keeps a close eye on Kati who suffers from juvenile diabetes.

As you can imagine the costs of health care have taken a toll on the family. They have meager savings and no life insurance.

We are asking friends, family, and associates to come to the aid of Aaron's family by contributing as much as they can to help cover the costs of the funeral, cemetery, and transition for Lorrie.

Would you give $25, $50, $100, $500, or even $1,000 to help cover the costs?

Currently, the funeral alone is over $12,000 and Aaron's plot in the cemetery is $6,000. It is highway robbery, but we have to pay. And if we can, we'd like to help reserve a plot for Lorrie next to her husband.

One other challenge for the family is that every night Carl needs to be lifted into bed due to his muscular dystrophy. Lorrie can't do it by herself and always needed Aaron's help.  A Hoyer Lift will cost between $1,500 and $3,000 new.

We need to raise between $25,000 and $30,000 so that the family doesn't go into debt simply to pay for Aaron's funeral, interment, and the help Lorrie needs.

UPDATE: Thank you! Thank you! God bless you all! We raised the funds for the funeral, interment, plots, etc. Gifts will now be going to establish the Wolf Family Trust to provide for Lorrie and the kids, their health needs, support for Lorrie to care for Carl, etc. Let’s see if we can raise another $25,000. They need the help!

Please consider giving today as the bills are already coming in for the funeral and interment. The family truly needs your help.

If you would like to send flowers or attend the funeral, it will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (600 N. Horsman St., Rockford, IL) on Monday, April 29. Visitation is at 11 a.m., the funeral service is at 1 p.m., and a wake will follow the graveside service.

Readers may send notes of condolence to this e-mail address .

For family, friends, and associates who have greater capacity to help, we are taking pledges for the Aaron Wolf Family Trust that will be set up shortly after the funeral. Gus, pictured below, was thinking about dropping out of college to get a job and help the family. We can't let that happen. Please click here to get more details.

This GoFundMe was launched by Chronicles and its parent organization, The Charlemagne Institute. ALL funds will go directly to the family. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our CEO.

Please keep Aaron and his family in your prayers.
