Aaron Palmer was a young 39 year old father of 2 (ages 5 and 8) and husband of 8 years
Sunday afternoon - Without any warning or previous symptoms, Aaron suddenly went into cardiac arrest while he was at his new workshop alone. He aspirated his food and was unable to breathe. His wife, Becky, and children found him unconscious and not breathing. Becky immediately called 911 and started CPR. Help arrived via fire fighters within 3-4 minutes and ambulance responders just minutes behind them, but they were unable to resuscitate him on site. He was rushed to the emergency room and everything was done to try to save him. He was declared brain-dead Tuesday evening.
We have been told that less than 1% of hospital deaths are from brain-dead patients. It is a very rare opportunity for him to be able to be a donor to several other people in need of help. Donor Alliance was contacted and he is going to be able to donate his liver and kidneys as well as other tissues. We know that Aaron would be very happy to know that he was able to help others in his last moments on earth.
Aaron was in the beginning stages of starting his own Auto Restoration business. He had taken out a lease on the workshop just 2 weeks earlier and had invested the family's money into the space as well as tools and equipment. There were no business partners or employees yet and work on some customer’s vehicles is started but not finished. Becky will have to tend to these matters herself now. As well as funeral and living expenses, etc. Becky is currently a stay-at-home mom, works part-time from home as a CAD technician and home schools the 2 young children.
As a friend of the family, I know that the Palmers will be thankful for any help you can give them. This is a diificult time for Becky and her 2 lovely children. She needs your help.
