2017 Lifetime Achievement Award Charity Ad Journal
3 years ago, the AAMA dramatically changed the way we honor our Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient. We now celebrate the honoree with a Lifetime Achievement Award - Charity Souvenir Ad Journal distributed at the AAMA Gala Awards Dinner during our Annual Meeting. The proceeds from the ad journal go to support AAMCF Charities, such as Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Kids Enjoy Exercise Now. Since its inception (just 3 years ago), the souvenir ad journal has raised over $165,000 for these and other
charities. That speaks volumes to the character and quality of the individuals AAMCF has honored.
We're so pleased to share with you David Cohen, President and CEO of Firestone Financial has been honored with the 2017 American Amusement Machine Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. David’s contributions to AAMA and the amusement industry are well documented. He’s assisted countless amusement companies big and small with creative financing solutions allowing these organizations to grow and flourish.
David has been a member of the AAMA Board of Directors for 12 years. From 2009 to 2011, David served as AAMA Chairman. This was a difficult period for the association/industry and his leadership through those years resulted in an agency that today is thriving. David is currently Co-Chair of the AAMA Government Relations Committee and a key driver in turning that committee into one of our most active and effective.
In addition, David has been on the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation Board for 15 years and served as its President for the past 5 years. During his time on AAMCF Board, the foundation has raised more than $575,000. It’s done so as a direct result of programs and initiatives David helped establish.
David’s charitable work away from AAMA is equally commendable. David has served on various non-profit community boards and is presently on the Board of the New England Chapter of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.
