A Girl Has No Viola

My name is Lisa Bucknell, and I am a violist in desperate need of a viola.
I have been immersed in the world of music since before I can remember. I played the violin before I knew how to read, and I have been working professionally since my early teens. Now I need your help so that I can buy the perfect viola for me.
To be a violist one really only needs one thing: a viola. I do not have one. With your help, I would like to buy an extraordinary 1930 Natale Carletti (Bologna) currently on loan to me from an anonymous benefactor.
This viola is perfect for me. I found it (or rather it found me) after an arduous search which spanned the three years of my postgraduate degrees. I tested all the violas I could find from every retailer in London and more across the United Kingdom and Europe. This rare instrument was the only one that truly sings with me.

I have been working tirelessly to raise funds myself, but like many international students striving to build a professional career in London, my first priority has been my student fees. For me, these have totalled more than £60,000. I am proud to say that after three years of seemingly endless scholarship applications, and with the support of multiple organisations in the UK, Australia, and Germany, I have finally paid every penny of my student fees.
Unfortunately this means I have nothing left with which to buy this viola, and if I can’t raise the funds by July 10th, I run the risk of losing it forever. With your help, "Stevie" and I will continue to develop as a dynamic duo, ready to take the world by storm!
A Carletti viola typically sells for tens of thousands of pounds, but I managed to acquire Stevie at auction for only £10,380. Thankfully, I have also secured an offer from the Loan Fund For Musical Instruments to pay part of this sum on the condition that I am able to raise the rest of the money myself.
Therefore, my fundraising goal is a relatively small £7,612.
Please give as much or as little as you wish; any and all donations will be gratefully received. Your support will go a long way,
P.S. In the event that we are able to surpass this fundraising goal, any extra funds will go towards my next big purchase: a baroque viola. (But let's not get ahead of ourselves!)
