Vancouver Rifle & Pistol Club needs an upgrade, and Southwest Washington Surplus wants to help! We're donating funding for a lane upgrade, and need some co-sponsors to help with the rest!
Contact the club directly to take advantage of a discount to new members who would be willing to make a donation towards our new Rubber Trap upgade project to allow jacketed ammunition.
Current members are being asked to donate also. If new members can donate $80.00 towards the project, their membership & setup fee will only be $70.00 (Setup fee is normally $80, Annual Dues $100). We need to raise $19,500.00 by September 8, and any extra money raised will be put towards other range improvement projects such as installing a target retrieval system.
The Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club (VRPC) was formed on November 29, 1958 as a private shooting range club and the land was graciously donated to VRPC by Orval Higdon. VRPC is a 50' indoor range with 12 firing points.
VRPC is very active in Youth Group programs such as Lewis & Clark Young Marines and shooting competitions. Clark County is in dire need of expanded capacity for safe shooting. Encroaching urbanization and over-regulation have eliminated many of the traditional rural shooting areas and we're in danger of losing touch with this element of our culture and breaking the continuity of shooting safety pasased down through the generations.
