Hello everyone, my name is Esmeralda.
I am an animal lover and activist. I believe we have a responsibility to help those in need, especially those who don't have a voice.
I believe in being the change you want to see in the world and live my life by that principle. Consequently, I fight in every way I can for animal rights: signing petitions, boycotting establishments that enslave and use animals for profit, protesting unethical practices, donating money to animal rights organizations, rescuing abused animals, being vegan, only using products that are not tested on animals and helping find homes for pets who have been abandoned.
I need your help in placing 6 homeless cats in a no-kill, cage-free cat sanctuary where they will have a chance at being adopted and most importantly, where they will be protected from the harsh conditions of being without shelter.
These 6 cats are part of a homeless/feral cat colony I feed everyday (every, single day, rain or shine) consisting of approximately 10-12 cats. The 6 cats that meet the qualifications required by the sactuary were former pets of uncaring people who simply abandoned them to their fate.
I have taken them to the vet, had them spayed/neutered and vaccinated and have been trying for months to find them good, forever homes with no results and I'm afraid I've exhausted all my contacts.
The cat sactuary where I hope to place them, Pet Pride, is one of the very few no-kill, cage-free shelters that takes animals from the public. I have met with them and have placed a homeless cat with them in the past (he has a good, caring and loving forever home now). They are good people, who help and do the right thing, when others do wrong.
The fee to place them varies with the age of the cat, but it starts at $250. I know that is a lot of money per cat, which is why I am asking for your help. I can't do it alone, but I know that with your help I can.
I know that many may not understand my concern for these animals, many may think, "They're just cats, who cares," but I care. They are living, breathing beings just like us, who feel just like we feel. They feel hunger, pain, cold, fear, sadness, just like we do. They want love, affection and safety just like we do. I believe that the people that are in my life share that sentiment too. I believe that the people in my life have big hearts, so I am calling out to every single one of you for help.

A note about the cats that don't meet the qualifications: The cats that don't meet the qualifications are quite feral but I will continue feeding them every day. I will try my best to earn their trust and socialize them so they will qualify someday too.
