Layla is slowly recovering. I just posted an updated picture of Layla and Kaydi at the barn.

We are more than halfway to our goal. We have raised $2505 in 4 days!

Kaydi and her mom Michele are great friends from my last barn. They have a beautiful rescue horse named Layla that Kaydi is absolutely in love with.
Layla sustained a severe eye injury last Sunday. Everyone thought it was an accident due to the storm.
Unfortunately, it was not.

Layla had a second surgery today to try to remove what her x-rays showed to be one of several small pieces of metal in her skull. After removing the largest of these fragments from her sinus, something very sad was revealed. Layla was not, in fact, in an accident on Monday night, but instead had been shot in the head. We are still stunned, angry, and heartbroken.
On the positive side, she did terrifically well in both surgeries, and is coming home tomorrow. We are grateful that she is alive and on her way to recovering.

The vet was not able to save Layla's eye. However, she is doing well and recovering. (My apologies for the sideways image, that's the only way GoFundMe would allow it to post)
Please help with what you can afford to help offset the Vet bills. Every bit helps.
