Keegan McDade is the son of Mike McDade and Cetta DeLeone. He is an incredibly sweet, fun-loving boy who loves dirt bike riding and dreams of becoming a professional arena cross rider like his dad. He will celebrate his third birthday on July 18th, 2014.

After an ongoing fever, Keegan visited his pediatrician on June 5, 2014, where blood work was performed, and results showed his white blood cell count and hemoglobin levels were low. He was immediately admitted to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital, and on June 6th he received a blood transfusion and bone marrow tap.

On June 7th, 2014 Keegan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He starts chemotherapy Monday, June 9th. He is such a loving and strong little boy and has been very brave throughout this process.

I ask you to please donate to his fund to help with his medical expenses and travel expenses for his family. Anything helps. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. His family greatly appreciates all the love and support!

Visiting Keegan in the hospital today was so emotional, yet so inspiring. He has IVs hooked up to both of his arms, yet he plays with his dirt bikes and trucks, colors pictures and takes walks to the outdoor terrace at the hospital to watch the cars go by. He hasn't complained about having to walk slowly with his IV hook up close by, having to wear a mask outside, or the nurses always in and out of his room checking him every hour, or the fact that he has to do any of this, he just simply says he really misses home, and asks when he can go. He is such a strong and brave little boy and is in such good spirits, even when he is not feeling like himself. Tomorrow he will start chemotherapy. Please continue to keep this brave little boy and his family in your thoughts and prayers and share this with others! Mike and Cetta are so appreciative of all of the support!

My son was diagnosed with stage 3 lymphoblastic Lymphoma at age six, 25 years ago. Now, 25 years later he is a completely healthy adult, thank God, and he is completely recovered with no relapse ever. Mike and Cetta, I know that you are just starting down this road of chemo treatments and being at the hospital every day, and you should know that while it is going to be difficult, they have made amazing advancements in Chemo in the 25 years since my son went through it, and the Lymphoma recovery rate is very high as compared to what it used to be. God bless Keegan, and you guys just stay strong and positive, that makes a huge difference in the recovery process. My heart is with you .
