A walk to remember -Khristian

Donation protected
Khristian is 22 years old & last year in May he found himself making a late night run to Walmart. Little did he know that would be the last time he would stand on his own two feet. As he made his way out of the store a group of guys blocked him in the parking lot. They asked him for all the cash he had on him, he had none. They didn't believe him, they proceeded to ask for his car. Khristian knew that if he would have gotten out of the car, he would be taking his last breath. They put a gun to his chest then to his head, it took all of the courage out him to grab the barrel of the gun & point it away from him. He went to try & roll up the window then the shooter stepped back & pulled the trigger. Khristian threw the car in drive & did his best to get out of there. The adrenaline rushing through his body distracted him from his wound till he made it out of the parking lot. That's when he lost all feeling in his legs. He then pushed the gas with one hand while navigating the steering wheel with the other. As he made it to the closest friends house they called an ambulance. Next thing Khristian knew he was waking up in a hospital bed, where they told him that the bullet had logged itself in his spine. Worst news to hear was: "You may never walk again." Coming from a family where God is the focus during trials & tribulations, he did his best to keep the faith. Fighting through mental battles & physical therapy. It has been difficult, from not even being able to provide for himself & find work. He can't even use the restroom on his own or even find himself in the kitchen to prepare a meal for himself. After 22 years of independence, to say it has been a "culture shock" would be an understatement. Cherry on top of the sundae, the incident happened during final season. He missed important test dates & with everything going on he couldn't even study to take them within the time frame the teachers provided.

22 years old, living on his own, spending all of his time either at school or working. His world turned upside down. That was until his application for Spinal Cord Injury treatment got accepted at the Stem Cell Institute in Panama City. HOPE. Finally. There was hope.

The hope was short lived though, the treatment comes at a price. Coming from a household of 8 children, parents have been foster parents for 8 years. Where would the $ come from?

If Khristian could get up & work from sun up to sun down, he would.

Please help give this kid another chance to walk & make his wildest dreams come true.

Please help by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, it would be greatly appreciated. I know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps me get closer to my goal!
