A Star for Shriners

The Star in Milford, PA has been a holiday tradition since the 1930's. Many of us have loved seeing it lit every holiday season, high on the mountain above town. It's original home on top of "The Knob" is now owned by the National Park Service who no longer allow the star to be erected and lit, citing the reason as it is a religious symbol.
Don Quick erected a new star at it's new home in Milford, across town from The Knob, at the top of Milford Heights. Since Don has brought back the beloved star and we are all enjoying its beauty, it is my hope that community members chip in to keep it lit! This fundraiser has been set up to defray the costs of the electric bill for the star and it's maintenance. Mr. Quick has agreed to this fundraiser, on the condition that all funds collected in excess of the 'star needs' will be donated to Shriners Hospital for Children, Philadelphia, PA.
