A New Hip for "Hondo"
Hi All:
This pup, affectionately nicknamed "Hondo", is in need of surgery before he can find his forever home. He is about eight weeks old and is a mixed breed of Australian Shepherd and Norwegian Elkhound. Hondo was brought into Pets R Inn at the Fargo, North Dakota location along with his seven other brothers and sisters.
Soon after arriving at the store, it was discovered Hondo was limping slightly. After a visit to the vet, it was discovered he has Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease in his hip and needs surgery in order to correct it.
Hondo is lovable and gentle. He is a calm puppy that loves being held and snuggled. Some people have expressed interest in him, however, once his condition is known, are reluctant to go through with taking him. We are asking for help in raising money to get him his surgery so he can become someone's sweet companion.
All of the funds raised will pay for his surgery. If there are funds left over, the money will be donated to a local animal rescue shelter, which will be named on Pets R Inn's Facebook page so everyone can stay updated on Hondo's condition and journey.
