A New Chair for Interstellaireylo!

Our dear friend interstellaireylo (formerly coupdefoudreylo) is a licensed paramedic. In late 2012, she was on the scene of a roadside accident when a truck driver playing with his phone hit her, causing an incomplete spinal fracture.

Unfortunately, although she often needs the assistance of a wheelchair, Stelloup does not really have the physical strength to operate her current manual chair, which is also a bit worse for wear after years of use. She’s mentioned possibly getting a power chair to help assist her and grant her greater mobility, but these are expensive, especially on a teacher’s salary (Stelloup currently works as a public high school teacher).

This fandom showed me overwhelming generosity when my family faced a household emergency shortly before the holidays this past year. I’d love to see that spirit of generosity carry over to helping one of my dearest friends increase her mobility through the purchase of a power wheelchair. Every penny will go towards the chair (see photos for an itemized breakdown of costs).
