A Damn Fine Fire Recovery Fund

In the late hours of August 17th, our beloved coffee slingers at Damn Fine Coffee Bar at 3317 W Armitage in Logan Square suffered a terrible blow. Their neighboring business, Botanica Obatala had an electrical fire. The good news is that no one was injured in the fire. The bad news is that Damn Fine's storefront experienced smoke, structural, and cosmetic damage from both the fire, and the efforts to extinguish it.
They will be closed for an undetermined amount of time, while repairs are made.
This means no business and no work wages for the wonderful staff and owners.
I'm hoping the community can find it in their hearts to at least donate what they would have spent in the month they'll likely be closed to keep our friends afloat.
As a personal note, this shop held their own fundraiser for me when I fell on some current hard medical times. It is the very least I can do to repay them for all they've done for me.
