Zoey Pavon's Cancer Fight Fund

Energetic, loving and full of life is just a few words often used to describe Zoey (Ashley) Pavon. At just eight years old, her world consisted of cheerleading, piano lessons, gymnastics, and spending time with her friends and family. But to really capture the essence of how special Zoey truly is, we would have to go back to the beginning. Some of you may be thinking, “she is only eight years old, how much hardship could she have encountered?” I say to you, never judge someone based on age, race or color, for everyone is fighting their own battle. By the time Zoey had reached the ripe age of 2, She was terrified to approach people, and never wanted to speak or get close to anyone. She was a broken little girl with no hope until God saved her and gave her a home and an amazing extended family. That is when her and her little sister  truly started living a purposeful and intentional life. The girl you see today is unrecognizable to the girl of yesterday. It only goes to show us how much spreading and showing love can make the biggest difference.

As time went by, she experienced the best life any child could ask for… Until now.

What was thought of as a sprain in her leg from cheerleading, ended up being stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. You can only imagine how devastated and angry her whole family was when they received the news. The mass located in her spine is too large and dangerous to operate and cancer has spread to her bone marrow, pelvis, shoulders, and hips. Asking for help is never easy, but it’s definitely needed. I have created this gofund me in the hopes of your help because Zoey’s insurance isn't convering her entire treament which she has to undergo for 2 years. We ask each of you today for not only your financial help but for your prayers. Together we can achieve and be heard… For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them (Matthew 18:20 NIV).

When Zoey was made aware of her cancer, she responded with hopefulness and gave her parents reassurance that she was going to make it through. She looked at her family and said, "They found the "C" word (she won't say cancer) and it's ok because the "C" isn't mine to keep and I plan on getting rid it."  Let us all have Zoey’s drive and perseverance. Some days will be better than others but we have to be #ZoeyStrong! We thank you in advance for all of your prayers and contributions, the family would not be able to go through this without each of you.

Take heart little one.

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)
