The EASTERN PEQUOT NATION - WUTTOOANTAM FOUNDATION is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation located in North Stonington, Connecticut.

 The EASTERN PEQUOT NATION - WUTTOOANTAM FOUNDATION exists to:

1. raise funds for and conduct programs to benefit the health, education, and welfare of Eastern Pequot people

2. promote the human rights and self-reliance of Native Americans

3. conduct research and promote the culture of the Tribe and other Eastern Woodland tribes.

 The EASTERN PEQUOT NATION - WUTTOOANTAM FOUNDATION is currently working on the following programs. Any donation received will be used to fund any active program unless specifically designated by the donor.

Community Garden - Associate Professor of Botany Chad Jones of Connecticut College and the Eastern Connecticut Community Gardens Association are partnering with our foundation to establish a garden on the Lantern Hill Reservation. This project will focus on educating our tribal members and community youth on botany, gardening, and more importantly, indigenous food plants.

 Historical Walks - will focus on educating the community on the Pequot Massacre of 1637 and its impact on the Eastern Pequot tribe and the settlers in the area. The walks will consist of visits to local sites significant to this specific event.
