Wizard Duels - Laser Tag Revolution

For years i’ve seen people talk online about how much fun it would be if someone designed a Wizarding based Laser Tag system, but no one I have heard about has ever really looked into the nuts and bolts of how to make it work.
A few months ago, a friend and I were discussing how we would do it and we came to the conclusion that we really could make it work, we could create a wand that uses motion control in conjunction with vocal commands to cast instead of a plain boring trigger that every other laser tag systems that I have ever heard about uses.
But the more we looked into it the more our ideas developed, one such instance was what would happen if we integrated SmartGlass technology along with A(ugmented) R(eality) we realised we could increase the immersion threshold of the game sevenfold.
What if when you cast the spell the AR in your smart glasses would then overlay the graphical effect of the spell you had cast at your opponent, how much difference that would make to the enjoyment factor of the game.
Our goal is to take this idea and make it reality, something that people can buy online or in stores the world over, but first we need to develop it. We have a very good idea of how much it will cost to begin production of the prototype technologies as well as to trademark and build up the infrastructure we would require to build the system.
Picture yourself facing your opponent, your wands held vertical with the tip facing the sky in the traditional dueling stance! You close your eyes, preparing yourself for what is to come, and before you know it the duel begins and your opponent has already made his move, you have just enough time to dodge the incoming spell, as you watch the burst of green light go past you, you realise that you’re fighting for honour, you ready your wand and cast a counterspell, and from your wand a streak of red light strikes true… stunning him for what feels like a mere second. Just enough time for you to prepare the finishing spell that would grant you victory. But as you finish your incantation, you realise that your opponent has managed cast a protective charm upon himself which deflects the full effects of your spell, lowering his life points but not quite enough to secure your victory
Another streak of green light startles you on impact and as the remnants of the spell disperse, you realise your life points diminishing to but a trickle, but your determination sets itself in stone and even though the adrenaline is pumping and you can't hear him speak the words, you see his lips part and begin to move… but he was too late, you had already spoken the words and your own burst of light struck true, disarming him and winning the duel.
After all there are many ways to win a duel… wiping out their life points is one, but so is removing their ability to fight back.
So the question I have to ask is simple really… do you think this would be fun and if you do… then do you think it is worth donating to help us get started and get this project off the ground? I know I do, I have already invested a great deal of time, money and effort in making sure it does become a reality.
