Where I Stand, The Movie

5 years in the making, Saran Bynum makes her debut with her feature film, "Where I Stand" Production starts Spring of 2016.   Saran is the writer and producer of this movie and has started her own Film Production Company, Narasco Productions LLC

“Where I Stand” is a story inspired by the life of Saran Bynum and her "Pretend Dad" Mr Larry Taylor a Vietnam War Veteran.

Log Line:
It tells a story of a woman who struggles after the wake of the Vietnam War to find her place in the world, and during the search for her birth father she finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy which threatens to take her's and her father’s life.   This journey takes her down a rabbit hole of danger, conspiracy and deceit all while finding strength, courage and love.
 
MY STORY:
This story is losely based on my life and my Pretend Dad, Mr Larry Taylor, Vietnam Veteran.
I was born of a Vietnames woman and An African American War Veteran. At birth I was abandoned and lived in a makeshift Army Barricks in Vietnam.
An unkown female found me in the streets of Vung Tau and brought me to an orphange to be taken care of by 2 Nuns.
I was later adopted by two beautiful parents who currently live in New Orleans.
Through my research I found the truth about what really happened in Vietnam.
I was later blessed to meet a War Veteran who in the beginning was thought to be my birth father. He became my "Pretend dad", my mentor, my friend, and my inspiration. He showed me how to forgive, love and gain understanding.
A month after Mr Larry Taylor gave me his  blessings to produce my movie...  he passed away from his battle with Cancer.   This story is dedicated to him...   I owe it to Mr Taylor to complete this mission in his honor.... 

I wrote my story as a Healing Tool... This story brings Love, History, Forgiveness and Courage to the forefront.
