Love Kids Fund 4 Wellness House
They joined a special program called My Peak Challenge
where they have promised to overcome a number of small challenges as they seek to achieve a big, Peak challenge. The Peak Challenge period is February 1st through May 23rd.
As part of thier Peak Challenge, they would like to help other children, in particular local kids, affected by blood cancers like Leukemia and Lymphoma.
"We are asking you to please make a donation to help Annapolis kids who are suffering and hurting. Please make a donation here, or else please pledge to make a donation every time we reach a peak.
"Every single penny of the money we raise will be given directly to Wellness House of Annapolis. We want it to be used by the kids and for the kids."
"We know you work very hard for your money and that we are asking alot of you, but really hope that you will help us. We would be so grateful if you could take a little time to support our cause, and we know the kids will be gratefull too."
Tomorrow marks the end of My Peak Challenge. Gemma and Cameron have worked so hard to raise money for Wellness House of Annapolis. They are just $240 short of their goal. Please consider donating to this very worthy cause. Thank you!
Gemma has been working very hard on her challenges. Here is a photo of her from last night. She hosted a party to collect items for children in the Pediatric Oncology unit at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Annapolis doesn't have a unit for children, so this was the closest place for her to donate to.
Our friend Katie Bullen is a Stella & Dot salesperson. She brought her jewelry and is giving all the proceeds from the evening to this fund. We are very thankful for this sponsorship and support.
Gemma met this morning with Wellness House to make concrete plans for teaching her Fairy House class to the kids there, which will happen in May. We learned that one of the children there has two parents with cancer, and that another is very sick himself. We are really looking forward to meeting the kids.
She also met with Whole Foods Market. They will host a class in April at the Annapolis location and charge $20 per participant. All of the money will be donated to the fund as well.
Cameron will be working on a band aid and blankey drive because we heard that children love to pick out their own band aids after their treatment. And who wouldn't want to cuddle in their own blanket?
Thank you again for your donation and your support of the kids. The past few weeks have proven to me how important community and family are in the life of a child, and of how doing good for others really does make you feel good inside. My Peak Challenge, and what we as a family do with it, is as meaningful for us (individually and collectively) as it is for the children who will benefit.
Diana, Gemma and Cameron.
Gemma and Cameron have raised almost $250 so far. Today Gemma is spending her time building fairy furniture, which she plans to sell.
This week we will be visiting Wellness House of Annapolis to figure out where they need help and what we can do to assist. We continue to thank you for your love and support!!
