We will be closing out our fundraiser for our sweet angel Nelstar and his family. We have decided to keep it up for one more week and hopefully hit our goal!

A message from the family:
After more than four years battling a rare form of kidney cancer, my older brother Nelson passed away this evening. He was a true fighter throughout; having endured ten different treatments, he lived more than double the life expectancy for the type of cancer he had.
My family and I truly appreciate the amazing support from all friends and loved ones. We also cannot emphasize how much we appreciate the donations we have received to help pay for the many bills associated withNelson’s care.
We will miss Nelson so much but we truly believe he is in a better place and that he can finally rest. Funeral details will be shared in the coming days.

There is no kinder boy than our sweet Nelson Stitt..aka DJ NELSTAR!
He is fighting the battle of his life with such grace and good humor. He has been such a source of inspiration to us all -- as a friend, as an artist, as one of LA's most kick-ass DJ's...but mostly as one of the most amazing people any of us will ever know.
He has always been so free with his love and support and now it is our time to return that love.
At only 36 years old, our beloved Nelstar was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma in June of 2015. On June 11, 2015 Nelson had a right radical nephrectomy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. It was found that the cancer had metastasized to some of his lymph nodes. Nelson has been receiving cancer treatment over the past four years at Cedars-Sinai. Having tried over 10 different treatment trials that eventually failed, Nelson has been trying additional clinical trials at The Los Angeles Clinic including radiation therapy. The cancer has advanced to stage 4 metastatic renal cancer with metastasis to the liver.
Nelson is a fighter. He continues to hope for a new clinical trial to kick this cancers ass!

And getting his fierce beautiful ass back in the DJ Booth where he belongs!
