Water for Hope Haiti
Donation protected
Hello! We are excited to announce that this January, we will be traveling to Haiti for one week (1/5/19-1/12/19) to take part in helping provide clean water to people in the villages, as well as staying with and spending time with Mission of Hope Haiti’s orphanage. I (Mike) started this water project three years ago, and with the donations and help of others, have been able to provide clean water for over 20 families. We hope to add another 20 families to the list this year!
The families that we help do not have access to clean water, and the only option is to pay a lot of money for it, which they cannot afford. Each of these filters provide 100+ gallons of water per day for up to 10 years if maintained properly. The purchasing of the water filters and Christmas gifts for the orphanage have been multiplied each year thanks to the generous contributions of others. We have started a Go-Fund Me with hopes of being able to provide the same this year for the people of Haiti.
We understand with holidays approaching, budgeting is tight. If you consider yourself able, we would greatly appreciate any donation. Anything helps! All donations will go towards water filters, and anything left over will go towards necessities and gifts for the orphanage.
Lastly, if you have any interest in sponsoring an orphan, student, or elder, there is a link at the bottom which contains more information. Three years ago I started sponsoring Soudnel, a 4-year old orphan, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences I could have ever asked for. So, if you've ever had an interest in sponsoring, theres no better time than the present to do so.
If you have any questions pertaining to the water project, please feel free to ask! We are both very passionate about advocating for the people of Haiti and would love to discuss it more. As previously mentioned, you can check out Mission of Hope’s website at https://mohhaiti.org/.
Happy holidays!
