Baby Lachlans cancer recovery fund

Hello, my wife and I are setting up this Gofundme site for our 1 yr. old Grandson Lachlan.  Lachlan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma in Jan 2016.  He is the youngest of three children.  He has an older sister (6) and brother (3). Lachlan’s treatment is being performed in Memphis, Tn.  The last 7 months have been very difficult for him as well as his parents and siblings.  He is currently scheduled to receive his 8th chemotherapy treatment.  This will be his final treatment, thus far it has been unsuccessful in eliminating his cancer.  His journey has not been easy. On Dec. 4th 2015 he was taken to the hospital with severe jaundice and was rushed to Memphis to have surgery to repair a hernia.  At this point the doctors discovered the tumor.  At the time of diagnosis, the family was told that his treatment was not covered by insurance.  Lachlan had emergency surgery to remove as much of the solid tumor from his abdomen initially.  Although 80% was removed, the doctors could not call it successful.  The remaining 20% was intertwined in the biliary tree (liver, gall bladder, and pancreas).  During this surgery, cancer was also found in his lymph nodes.  This was the worst case scenario a parent could hear about their 11 mo. old son.  The remaining tumor has caused all sorts of painful obstacles for his abdomen.  Daily transfusions, tests, positive and negative infections and procedures is all this young man has known.  Lachlan’s parents have been by his side in the hospital since the beginning.  They have been living in hospital accommodations and left the home and family life they once had with hopes that soon they can return to some sort of normalcy.  Our hope is that this site will make things easier relieving the financial burden of starting over.  Even after chemotherapy, Lachlan will continue to require preventative treatments and test to monitor his condition.  The entire family dynamic has been turned upside down.  Although they do the best they can as parents, most of the attention has got to be with the baby.  We ask that you pray for Lachlan and Family.  If possible, help them out.
