Medical Fund for Wally Wilson
Donation protected
On Feburary 26, 2015 Wally became sick and starting having really bad pain. He decided to go to the doctor to find out what was going on. Once he got to the end of his drive way the pain became so severe he had to call the ambulance. He was rushed to Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC.
He was taken in for emergency surgery for what turned out to be a strangled, ischemic bowel due to a hernia. Gangrene and septicemia had already set in by the time they took him into surgery. Wally is in very critical condition. His battle right now is the infection that resulted from the gangrene colon. He is sedated and on the ventilator. He's had some slight improvements in his liver and kidney function lab work, but it's still abnormal. Because his white blood count had been slowly rising, they did a CT scan which revealed some pockets of fluid near the liver and some fluid in one lung. They had to do a procedure to drain the fluid pockets and put in a chest tube. Wally is still not out of the woods, but has had some slight improvement.
Wally is a single Dad with 1 child, Cooper (4 years old). Anyone who knows Wally, knows that there is nothing Wally loves anymore than his "Cooper time". Wally is surrounded by his family and friends who love him and are praying for him. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Please consider making a donation to Wally to help with the expenses that he will incur. Medical bills will be astronomical. There will be a substantial amount of bills between the ambulance, surgery, hospital stay and rehab. The recovery care and missing time from work will be a huge burden on him and his loving and caring family.
FYI: Any donation made online will have a 5% fee (Gofundme) and there's also a 2.9%+$0.30 fee charged by the payment processor (Wepay). These fees will be deducted from the donation before Wally recieves them.
You may also make a donation by check or money order.
(No fees)
