A Walk for our Warriors

Donation protected
My name is Jared Love and I'm a senior at Creekview Highschool in Canton Georgia.
I've also been sworn in the USMC and go to boot camp, October 5th 2015, after graduation.

For my senior project I'm having a "Walk for our Warriors", a  walk a thon to raise money and awareness for our returning vets suffering from PTSD.  The walk takes place February 28th at 11am at Boiling Park, Canton Ga. Please come out, walk a mile and show your support!

Every day, 22 veterans take their own lives. As shocking as that number is, it may actually be higher.

Please consider giving to this worthy cause and please share this site with your friends and family.
100% of the funds raised will be given to The Wounded Warrior Project and their Combat Stress Recovery Program (CSRP)  which addresses the mental health and cognitive needs of warriors returning from war. CSRP provides services at key stages during a warrior's readjustment process.

All of this will be given in honor and memory of Lcpl James G Alvarez lll.

-note from James' sister....
James died right before his 30th Birthday. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was married with 2 small children who will never know how amazing their daddy was.
James was excited the day he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He was so proud to be an American and even more proud to be a US Marine. In 2007 he deployed to Iraq where he fought everyday on the front line for 7 long months. When James returned from Iraq, he was never the same and later diagnosed with severe PTSD and TBI. Unfortunately the VA did not provide him with the full treatment he desperately asked for. On March 20, 2013 he felt he had no other option then to take his own life and end all of his constant pain and suffering. Our family is forever heartbroken without him. We hope and pray every day that our veterans get the help they so desperately need so no other families have to live through this constant emptiness and heartbreak we have since the day we lost our son, brother, husband, daddy, uncle, friend to many, our forever Hero!
