Raising funds to provide pet food and supplies for pets in their family's time of need.

Rowan’s Fund was started when we heard that some pet owners were having to choose between buying food for their family and feeding their pet, or worse - considering having to give up their pet due to unforeseen circumstances.

Donations are used to purchase pet food and supplies for families who cannot afford these items during difficult times. We purchase gift cards from reputable suppliers and have the items shipped direct, so there is minimal overhead. This eliminates the need to store items and this helps ensure fresh product is going out.

Rowan’s Story: Rowan was a beautiful female German Shepherd, rescued from a K-9 training program in Georgia at 7 months old. She was a bit too gentle and nervous to make it as a police canine. Diesel was rescued six years after Rowan, and they became best friends. Rowan taught him all her good habits. They lived out their lives in the home of Maria Erna, Founder of WAG LLC, WAG Life, & Rowan’s Fund.

Maria used her real estate and business consulting knowledge to open a grooming salon and hired a professional team to provide creative, holistic services. In addition to creative and show grooming, the salon caters to special need, anxious, and senior pets.

Sadly, Rowan passed away five months before opening. Diesel was left without his best friend, but went to work with Maria every day through opening and was the salon mascot, until he passed away three months after opening day. Rowan gave 18 years of unconditional love and support. Diesel was between 17 and 19 years old when he passed, as there were no records from his birth date due to being a rescue.

WAG Grooming Salon & Spa remains in their memory in Salem, New Hampshire, with Rowan’s paw print in the logo. WAG proudly supports local no kill shelters through fundraising and donating free grooming to get the pups looking their best to hopefully get adopted. Rowan’s Fund was founded to do more for the pet owners needing assistance across the country.

No pet should go without. No pet owner should have to decide between feeding and caring for their pet or feeding their family or worse, giving up their pet.
